Sierra Property Services is raising the property management bar in the North Bay.  Our diverse experience is what differentiates us from the field, providing our landlords with peace of mind as well as a level of knowledge and experience only Sierra can offer.  Our founding principal is to increase rental property value through prudent property management in the North Bay, as well as the East Bay and Central Valley. 

 
Jessica Buurma
Residential Property Manager

Jessica Buurma is a licensed property manager with over five years experience in residential property management and commercial real estate services.  Jessica graduated with a degree in Business Marketing from Dordt College and currently oversees a portfolio of single and multi-family residences.  Prior to joining Sierra, Jessica worked for one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the nation.  Her fresh perspective and enthusiasm will help to ensure that every property we manage receives the same superior service we strive to achieve.

David Buurma
Broker

David Buurma has been in commercial real estate for almost 30 years.  During most of that time he has specialized in investment products like apartments, office and retail properties.  Dave began his real estate career with a large California syndicator managing apartment properties in excess of 200 units and downtown San Francisco office buildings.  He later became the designated broker for that firm and was responsible for the acquisition of significant commercial and multifamily properties.  In 1997 Dave opened a commercial office Napa and grew that office within two years to the 4th largest commercial real estate office in the North Bay according to the North Bay Business Journal.  However in an effort to expand his market Dave joined Cassidy Turley BT Commercial and was their Napa office. 

Then in 2011 after 25 years in corporate real estate Dave left CTBT and formed with Kirsten Strain, Buurma and Strain Commercial Real Estate.  Dave continues his focus on investment real estate specializing in the investment of Multi-family and income producing properties.  Because of the need of his clients Dave and his wife Laurie formed Sierra Property Services, Inc.  SPS is a professional property management company providing strategic plans to improve the profitability of their clients investments. 

Bradley Jameson
Attorney at Law

Bradley Jameson, a partner in the San Francisco office of Phillips, Spallas & Angstadt, practices in the firm’s real estate and commercial litigation groups.  Mr. Jameson has extensive experience representing parties in a wide range of cases including personal injury, real property, and landlord/tenant matters.

Mr. Jameson is a member of the real property section of the Bar Association of San Francisco as well as the Napa County Bar Association.  Additionally, Mr. Jameson is approved as a judge pro-tem for the San Francisco County Superior Court and periodically offers his services, pro-bono, for clients of Napa County Legal Aid.

In his spare time, Mr. Jameson sits on the board of several non-profit organizations, including Leadership Napa Valley, the goal of which is to involve, inform and inspire leaders in order to strengthen the community where he lives with his wife and two children.

Laurie Buurma
Realtor, SFR, SRES

Laurie Buurma comes from a real estate family and so it is no surprise that she chose real estate as her career once her children were all in school.  It was then that she began her career with RE/MAX where she was awarded as the Rookie of the Year in her first year and before leaving RE/MAX she was inducted to their national Hall of Fame.  She has received multiple national awards throughout her sales career, and has earned the SFR and SRES designations. 

As with all things pertaining to her career, Laurie’s relationship with Pacific Union International was not coincidental, but rather a strategic affiliation to better assist her clients in the sale of their Wine Country real estate.  Pacific Union has long been recognized as the leader in luxury home sales in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.  This is due primarily because Pacific Union pioneered luxury home marketing and is constantly perfecting this niche marketing program.  Laurie’s 15 years of real estate experience include multi-family transactions to high-end vineyard estate properties.  In fact it was in part because her desire to better serve her clients that Laurie and her husband Dave began Sierra Property Services.

Kirsten Strain

Kirsten Strain, since starting her commercial real estate career in San Diego with Coldwell Banker Commercial in 1986, Kirsten Strain has taken her business over 24 years to include Institutional National and regional Landlord and Tenant representation along with commercial sales  brokerage for such firms as CB Commercial, Marcus and Millichap, and Cassidy Turley BT Commercial.

In addition to having specialized in Institutional and Regional Brokerage of office and apartment sales, she also has served as a principle with Bank of America as the senior Vice President and Regional Manager for the Corporate Real Estate / Acquisitions and Dispositions group, directly responsible for all acquisitions and dispositions of corporate owned and leased office building, retail (branches) and industrial properties including land.

In addition, she was charged with annual occupancy cost reductions through corporate service strategic planning and corporate profit generation through sales, sales/leasebacks/ joint ventures, leaseback/developments, bargain sales, and donations. Kirsten resides in Sonoma County and focuses her established regional commercial investment and leasing activity in the North San Francisco bay area Counties.
